There are certain productivity tools, and more specifically, online productivity tools that I simply can’t live without. Once I started living remotely I tried LOADS of different tools to set myself up for success – I needed to spend less time doing small, menial tasks and more time creating. It’s the classic “if you keep working IN your business, you won’t have time to work ON your business”.
My Top 5 Productivity Tools:
1. ClickUp
In my opinion, this is the absolute GOAT! Ever since I started using ClickUp and implementing it with my team, I’ve noticed such a difference. We all know what our teammates are working on and how to best support one another.
Here are just a few of ClickUp’s coolest features:
- Assign tasks to your team members with start & end dates and add links & resources to each task
- Communication takes place IN a task instead of on separate apps – team members can be tagged, comment threads are kept, and all time is tracked on that task
- Create sections for clients or projects
- Track all of your tasks with specific tags
- There are also in-app whiteboards, docs, tagging, the list just goes on and on.
I wrote a blog about ClickUp because I love it so much – have a read if you want to know more.
2. Flodesk
This is an absolute gem of a marketing tool! It’s got a super simple ‘drag and drop’ interface built by creatives, for creators.
Some of my favorite features:
- Pre-made email templates to suit any email structure
- Add in colors and fonts to keep everything consistent and on-brand
- Simple audience segmentation
- Easy to assemble workflows
3. Loom
Say goodbye to meetings! This particular tool is especially great if you work with a team or need to communicate a process with clients.
Essentially, it provides a video and audio explanation or set of instructions that can be replayed multiple times. I use it a lot when adding feedback videos, setting new tasks in ClickUp or when I’m trying to explain something more complicated. My team loves it!
It’s also FREE!
4. Lastpass
This is honestly the easiest way to securely share passwords. Lastpass is a website but also a super handy Chrome extension that auto-fills login details without ever displaying the password. It’s a great time and energy saver!
It’s a great online productivity tool for your team to use and also use in a personal capacity – plus any clients you have will feel secure in the fact that their logins are safe.
5. Descript
This is a slightly newer one for me! Descript is an all-in-one editor that makes editing as easy as a word doc – record directly in the app or upload media and it will instantly transcribe your file into a text. Once that’s done, you can tweak the text to directly edit your media clips.
So, essentially, you can view and edit any audio file as text! Plus transcriptions are fast and accurate.
These are just a few of my favorite online marketing and productivity tools but there are also SO many more other helpful hacks – connect with me on social media where I’ll be sharing my top tips, hacks, and so much more!
