Hi,June here

Having your own creator business is a very exciting and fulfilling purpose, but it can also be overwhelming and challenging. Maximizing productivity sounds like the holy grail. Getting more done in less time, which will make you more quickly achieve your goals & grow your business. But finding this optimal stretch of productivity can seem onerous, especially when you feel overwhelmed. Therefore I am introducing 6 steps that will help you to maximize productivity for your creator business.

1. Set clear goals & priorities

Like every success story – maximizing your productivity starts with clear goals. It is completely normal to have multiple goals that cover different parts of you and your business. To get a clear view on what your next move should be, prioritize your goals (& divide long/short term if needed), so you keep your eye on the prize and your motivation motor keeps running. Optimizing focus and progress towards your goals.

2. Create a Daily To – Do List

To-do lists might seem a bit obsolete, but they are actually a no-brainer if you want to stay focused and organized. You can include all your tasks, business and personal, and don’t forget to prioritize again. With a to-do list you break your overall goals down into daily tasks, these manageable chunks will make you feel less overwhelmed, will make procrastination disappear & will let you stay on track. And to be honest : who doesn’t feel on fire and motivated after actually finishing something?

You guys know I am a sucker for tools, so for my to-do list I use Click Up, Apple reminders for urgent to-do’s & an Apple notes Checklist to share a common to-do list with clients!

But in the end it is all about your focus & mindset, so a simple piece of paper will do too.

3. Use a Time Management Tool

Track your time – always! If you have no idea where you spend your time, how can you possibly figure out how to spend it better?

In the beginning it might feel like you are checking yourself, this is not what you’ve signed up for as an entrepreneur, but believe me it is so worth it. You will be surprised with which tasks actually take up most of your time and it will make it easy to redirect more of your time towards your goals and priorities.

There’s a ton of Time Management Tools out there – so just pick one that suits your style!

4. Eliminate Distractions

It might seem obvious, but nowadays distractions are everywhere. If you start on something, really make sure that this task has your full attention. So don’t check if you already received this email, briefly look over your notifications or do ‘that thing that’ll just take a minute’ in between.

Schedule some daily or weekly deep focus time, to maximize your productivity. You just focus on certain tasks & put all distractions and notifications aside. This includes: your phone, unnecessary tabs opened, PC notifications & the people actually physically surrounding you.

5. Take Breaks

It may seem counterintuitive, but taking breaks regularly can help so much in maximizing your productivity. Productivity decreases after working longer periods of time, so taking breaks often will give you more ‘fresh’ productive work time.

Taking a break could be a short walk, a nap, fooling around with your dog or prepping some food. Just try a few different things & see what works for you. Especially with the time you work, the time of your breaks and amount of breaks you take. There are different types of productivity types, so experiment and see what works best for you.

6. Outsource Task

This one is overlooked on many occasions, but is definitely my favorite. As a creative business owner, it’s easy to get caught up in trying to do everything yourself. But seriously, why do everything yourself if you can have someone else do it for you? Tasks to consider outsourcing are the ones you don’t enjoy & the ones that don’t feel a 100% up your alley (we all know being a CEO includes too many fields to be an expert in all).

Nothing beats the feeling of having someone else do the things you don’t want to.
Maximize productivity by finding the right person for the job or go for full support and let my Business Management Agency – Qudoze, do it for you!

I know I have been going on about maximizing productivity but in the end it is also about finding the optimal way of productivity for you. Less can definitely be more & getting support is always a nutritious way to realize your goals!
