What is Going on!?

On the 25th of January, 2019, The New York Times dropped a bomb and oh boy, was it big.
For years, we have known these giant messaging platforms as separate entities. I know some friends who only use messenger for messaging and the same goes for WhatsApp and Instagram Chat. With WhatsApp having 1.5 billion monthly users, Messenger having 1.3 billion monthly users, and Instagram having 1 billion monthly active users, these beasts cannot be rivaled in the online messaging industry.
Though under one single parent company, this three apps have been competing with each other because all of them are/have messaging platforms. People are going to be able to use use one messaging platform across three simultaneously.
I can’t tell you how many times I have actively complained about not knowing which platform I’ve been writing off
However, Mark Zuckerberg is now planning to integrate these three different messaging platforms into one single service. Though these apps will still be “stand-alone,” users will be able to communicate to each other through this different platforms, or as the idea goes. They’re planning to accomplish this plan by either late 2019 or early 2020.
I may have sensed that this day would come. I guess it’s inevitable in a way. But I didn’t expect it to be this soon!
Facebook is slowly but surely reaching its goal of building a true empire and achieving world domination.
